Welcome to 6th grade Science! This year we will be exploring the scientific method, experimental setup and results, branches of science, types of energy, earth's rotation and revolution, weather, water cycle, ecosystems, resources, and engineering design. Students will be exposed to a variety of work and learning expectations from working and learning independently, working and learning with partners, and working and learning with groups of 3-4. We will also be doing many projects. Some of the different types of projects will include conducting their own experiment and presentation, making a balloon powered car, ecosystem brochures/postcards, making an energy efficient igloo, a Popsicle bridge, foot orthosis, puzzle block, and a working electric circuit to complete a task.
